A recent transplant from sunny Arizona, Elizabeth Watson joined the Capitol Post team in November of 2016. Prior to serving as Campus Manager for Capitol Post’s Co-Working Space, Elizabeth successfully managed and grew membership for multiple pilates-based fitness studios in Tucson, Arizona. As her “side hustle”, Elizabeth was the founder of the home-based bakery, “The Bakerina”, specializing in European-style desserts.
Elizabeth attended Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania where she earned her BA in Dance. She performed as a soloist with Ballet Theatre of Ohio and served as a guest instructor. She went on to earn her MFA in Dance from the University of Arizona. In Arizona, Elizabeth was a professional company member with Tucson-based contemporary dance company, Artifact Dance Project, for two years before moving to Alexandria.
When she is not at Capitol Post, Elizabeth rehearses and performs with contemporary dance company, Gin Dance Company, based out of Falls Church. Elizabeth is also faculty at the BalletNova Center for Dance where she teaches adult contemporary dance. Elizabeth also sits on the board and is Chair of the Membership Committee for Dance Metro DC.
